The Rating Bureau (TRB), established in 1965, is Australia’s leading provider of horse racing data, performance ratings, and specialized software. Known for pioneering public weight ratings, TRB delivers historical and real-time racing data, Weight-for-Age (WFA) Performance Ratings, and the GTX software platform.
Cplus Soft partnered with TRB to build a predictive analytics solution that identifies stallions with the highest probability of winning races and forecasts breeding success, enabling data-driven decisions for breeders and racing professionals.

Problem Statement

Breeders and racing professionals relied heavily on intuition and limited historical analysis when evaluating stallion performance and breeding potential. This approach led to inconsistent outcomes and inefficient investment decisions. Key challenges included: Lack of reliable predictive tools for stallion performance. Difficulty forecasting breeding success and winning offspring. Heavy dependence on intuition over data. Fragmented insights across historical and real-time data. Need for seamless integration with existing GTX workflows. These challenges reduced decision accuracy and limited the strategic value of racing data.
